Provided advisory insights as a youth expert to various UN agencies on Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) and Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) developments in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
Briefed a high-level panel with the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs on the 2025 Review of the UN Peacebuilding Architecture.
Held consultations with UN Women and UNFPA on regional youth and gender peacebuilding priorities.

Advocated for the integration of YPS and WPS into Malaysia’s regional commitments.
Engaged in side negotiations with UN Women and UNDP to ensure youth and women’s priorities were reflected in key policy dialogues.
Co-authored and co-delivered the Southeast Asia CSO statement with recommendations on gender equality and peacebuilding.

This policy brief, curated for the United Nations Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR) via the Human and Sea Security Shimanami Collective Workshop, examines the development of deep-sea mining (DSM) within the region.
Key focus areas include levels of progress of DSM, policy gaps and implications as well as mechanism for deep-sea mining moratorium call.
